As part of the event local universities and employers will be attending to discuss the courses which they have on offer and provide further advice on the courses which they offer and how to apply.

Staff from New College Telford will also be on hand to offer information about Higher Education courses which we offer within the college.

• Business

Georgia Williams: Free Your Spirit – Join In

The free and adventurous spirit of Telford teenager Georgia Williams will be immortalised on colourful wristbands to be produced in her memory.

Free Your Spirit – Join In is the slogan to be reproduced on thousands of royal blue and orange bands, and has also been adopted as the motto of the Georgia Williams Trust.

Georgia’s father Steve said: “We chose Free Your Spirit – Join In because it totally sums up Georgia, her energy and her enjoyment of life – it really is the perfect strap-line for the charitable trust in her name.”

The Georgia Williams Trust will work closely with Georgia’s family on how the money should be spent to celebrate her life and create a lasting long term legacy
Money raised will help young people from the town take part in the sort of activities Georgia enjoyed, such as Outward Bound courses and climbing.

The trust has also revealed details of its bank account, which will allow anyone raising money in Georgia’s name to pay cash in easily.

24th June is a Staff Training Day – there will be no teaching lessons within the day. However College will be open for independent study, normal lessons will resume on Tuesday 25th.

Dear Student
Now the exam period is drawing to a close may I take pleasure in welcoming you back for your second year of study.
You will be expected to return to college week commencing 10th June and resume your full timetable on your chosen programme of study for 2012/2013.

When you return to college you will be expected to:
1. Attend all your classes as normal per your current timetable.
2. Meet with your Personal Tutor/Learning Mentor
3. Ensure you understand the course and assessment requirements for Year 2 study.
4. Have a progression interview with your Personal Tutor/Learning Mentor to discuss your options after your course is completed.
5. Discuss any support you require to help you whilst at college.

Are you interested in table tennis? Following the 7 weeks of coaching we are now in the process of developing a table tennis ladder league where you will play weekly fixtures at a time to suit you. We now have basketball training each Friday lunchtime (12.15-1pm), we currently have 6 people who attend each week but need at least a few more participants before we can create the team and start playing some friendly fixtures.
